Werner Kaegi created the sound compositions "Sonorisation" and "Illumination" for the Swiss participation of the 1970 World Fair in Osaka.
For this prestigious project, Werner Kaegi was not only the artistic director, but also worked with engineers to design the technical aspects. To this end, he conducted numerous experiments with different types of loudspeakers to determine exactly how the sound could be best reproduced both close to and at a greater distance from the tree. The tracks were played from special endless tape recorders, which were controlled by time switches. This meant that the light and sound changed constantly. The sound tracks were composed by Kaegi in the studios of the Centre de Recherche Sonore in Geneva, but mainly at STEM (the predecessor of the Institute of Sonology) in Utrecht.

Sound tracks will be available soon.
